Trump is taking steps to win over crypto enthusiasts as part of his campaign strategy. He recently expressed strong support for crypto businesses in the US, insisting the nation should lead the industry.

“I am very positive and open-minded about cryptocurrency companies and the entire industry,” Trump posted on his platform, Truth Details. “Our country must be the leader in this field; there’s no room for second place.”

Trump made these comments before speaking at the Libertarian National Convention in Washington, D.C. His remarks come as both political parties try to attract pro-crypto voters ahead of the presidential election.

Trump also criticized President Joe Biden, claiming Biden wants the crypto industry to fail. Trump suggested that under his leadership, the industry would thrive, unlike under Biden’s policies.

“Crooked Joe Biden, the worst president in our country’s history, wants it to die a slow and painful death. That will never happen with me,” Trump declared.

Trump’s involvement with crypto is growing; he recently announced that he’s accepting crypto donations for his campaign, a first for a major US presidential candidate.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration has softened its stance on crypto. After the House passed the crypto market structure bill FIT21, the White House opposed it but didn’t threaten a veto. Additionally, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) recently approved spot Ethereum ETFs, reflecting a more positive regulatory approach. Analysts believe political factors may influence the SEC’s decisions.
