Slovenia has appeared for the first time in the European Union’s MiCA register of electronic money token (EMT) issuers, with Slovenia-based electronic money institution Dinaro added to the list.
Dinaro is supervised by the Bank of Slovenia and provides payment services, including card issuing and acquiring. The company also says it holds principal membership with Mastercard.
The latest update from the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) also added two new crypto-asset service providers (CASPs): Czech lender Partners Banka and Germany’s Volksbank Beilstein-Ilsfeld-Abstatt.
The EU’s CASP register now includes 325 companies. Czech firm Altlift, which was added in July, is no longer listed.
Dinaro’s addition brings the EMT register to 43 entries. The asset-referenced token (ART) register remains empty, while the list of non-compliant entities stayed unchanged at 167.
