Blockchain.com and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) are working together to explore 24/7 access to tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs for customers worldwide.

The companies have signed an agreement to jointly develop products that could allow Blockchain.com users to trade tokenized versions of NYSE-listed securities onchain, potentially removing some of the limits created by traditional market hours, geography and brokerage access.

The partnership will also connect stock and crypto market data. ICE Data Services, an NYSE affiliate, plans to distribute Blockchain.com’s crypto market data and analytics to its customers, while Blockchain.com will bring NYSE and ICE market data into its app for its more than 44 million verified accounts.

The companies said the goal is to bring traditional financial markets and digital assets closer together, while giving investors access to markets and data through a single platform.

Blockchain.com has already moved into tokenized stocks through a partnership with Ondo Finance, which launched onchain versions of U.S. stocks for customers in Europe earlier this year.

The new agreement with NYSE is focused on exploring how onchain trading of U.S. equities could operate at a global scale, including around-the-clock access and blockchain-based settlement.
