GoTyme, one of the Philippines’ fastest-growing digital banks, has launched crypto services through a secure app integration with U.S. fintech firm Alpaca.

The bank’s 6.5 million customers can now buy and hold 11 cryptocurrencies directly in the GoTyme app. The service automatically converts Philippine pesos to U.S. dollars, allowing users to purchase major assets like Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Solana (SOL), Polkadot (DOT) and several other altcoins.

GoTyme said the goal is to keep the experience simple for everyday users rather than offer complex trading tools.
“Our product focuses on simplicity and reliability, designed for people who want to buy crypto confidently without complicated technical analysis or managing multiple apps,” CEO Nate Clarke said.

Launched in October 2022, GoTyme is a joint venture between Singapore-based Tyme Group and the Philippines’ Gokongwei Group. The bank promotes fast onboarding, saying users can open an account and get a debit card in five minutes — which now also gives quick access to crypto.

GoTyme is also looking to expand beyond the Philippines, with plans to enter Vietnam and Indonesia as digital banking adoption grows across Southeast Asia. Clarke recently told the Digital Banker that the company remains focused on rapid growth and does not expect to prioritize profitability until 2027.

The Philippines continues to be a strong market for crypto adoption. The country ranks ninth in Chainalysis’ 2025 Global Crypto Adoption Index, and lawmakers are considering a proposal to create a national strategic reserve of 10,000 BTC.
